I visit MTA everytime I visit my homeland Los Angeles to maintain while I'm out there. I agree with the general commentary on the gym. No matter what your skill leve is, the vibe is mad friendly. Considering how many good fighters there are here, I was surprised by the lack of "meatheads" here. Granted it's not the poshest gym but you don't come here for that. Their pad work always gives me a great work out but I do agree, I wish they did incorporate more cardio and calisthenics in the workout regimen. The sparring (without headgear) is great. All the guys I've worked out with know how to punch you in the face but for the most part, they're careful not to hit too hard. This is the closest thing to Thailand in the US.
